Step 2: If Dr. Allen feels he can help, you will proceed with a paid chiropractic examination.  This portion of the visit will be a comprehensive exam and deep dive into your current pain patterns & health goals. Dr. Allen will thoroughly exam your entire body and nervous system, not just your site of pain.

Step 3: Once your examination is complete and if Dr. Allen has found exactly what he is looking for, you will be given a report of findings and recommendations for care. Dr. Allen will outline treatment options, explaining costs & recovery times. There will be no hidden surprises with our care.

Step 4: If after your examination and report of findings you are a good candidate for care at our office, Dr. Allen will provide your first chiropractic adjustment. Depending on you, your preferences, body type and condition, Dr. Allen will use appropriate techniques to move you toward your health goals. If you are not a candidate for chiropractic care, we will refer you to trusted providers in our town that can help.

What does the Chiropractic Examination look like?

This examination can consist of two parts:

1. Insight Scans: Thermography scan, sEMG, and Heart Rate Variability.  These allow us to find a baseline of how your Nervous System is function in the moment and to put on paper muscle tension and subluxation patterns the Chiropractor is feeling for. This is an education tool that provides a nice insight into how your body is adapting to stress.

2. Spinal palpation, Posture Assessment, a Functional Movement Assessment, and any Chiropractic / Orthopedic tests necessary to best identify your current health issues.

This visit takes around 45 minutes in total.

You will never feel rushed at our office. Dr. Allen will always examine your body at each visit and adjust where and if necessary.

Every visit of your follow up care contributes to the process designed to manage pain and tension, restore functional movement patterns, and facilitate you to a natural state of health & wellness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you take Insurance?

Elevate Chiropractic proudly serves the Monadnock Region as a cash based Out of Network office.  This allows us the time to connect and cultivate relationships with you and your family and provide clinically competent care tailored to you and your needs.

As an Out of Network office we do not work directly with insurance providers but gladly provide clients with the necessary documentation to file yourself.

We accept HSA, FSA, cash, credit, and check as forms of payment in our office and welcome open and honest conversations about finances.

Q: What is the Neurological Scan that you perform on the first visit?

The INSiGHT scans are made up of the three most important spinal-neural tests: Heart Rate Variability, Surface EMG, and Thermal  - which work together to tell us how stress is impacting your overall health and well-being.

hrv

Heart Rate Variability: measures how well you are adapting to life stressors.

Surface Electromyography (sEMG): measures how much energy is needed to maintain your posture and how energy is it distributed throughout the muscles in your body.

Thermal: measures differences in temperatures along the spine, which is an accurate indicator as to where stress is building up and how deeply it affects nervous system function.

All three INSiGHT scans work together to give a “snapshot” of how your body and nervous system are adapting and precisely detect where and how deep the problem is.

Q: Why do you adjust children?

Children go through stress just like adults! One of the first physical and emotional stressors children go through is the birth process. It's a myth that kids "grow out" of tension patterns, when in reality many children actually grow into more chronic tension patterns, become disconnected emotionally, and medicate themselves through pivotal periods of their life. Family chiropractic care is an amazing tool to utilize as a health strategy to help children and families heal and thrive naturally.

Q: If I am pregnant should I come get adjusted?

Absolutely! The earlier you start your chiropractic care the more benefit you can gain. We know that pregnancy brings about lots of changes bio-mechanically and hormonally. Many moms under care report a more empowered birth, shorter labor times, faster recovery, and more connection to their newborn.
