Louisa Murray joined our team in March of 2016. Her educational background includes a B.A. in French and Sociology from the University of Vermont and a Certification Degree in SOMA Neuromuscular Integration from the SOMA Institute in Seattle WA.
Louisa has worked in the bodywork field for over 20 years. She has practiced in Seattle, WA, Langdon NH and most recently in Keene NH. While she has additional training in cranio-sacral and kinesiology techniques, her sessions mainly follow the philosophy and applications of SOMA. Melissa is the founder and a licensed and certified massage therapist, certified Thai massage therapist, certified Personal Trainer, and certified Hatha Yoga teacher. After teaching yoga and personal training for over ten years this path of wellness led her to massage therapy and bodywork. Melissa graduated from North Eastern Institute of Whole Health as a certification massage therapist and NH licensed. While in school she also attended Cortiva Institute of Boston for advanced massage training. Melissa practices several different modalities of massage therapy and bodywork.
Linda Garvey uses an array of techniques to treat muscular pain and dysfunction using evidence based practices to support client treatment goals. Whether you want a gentle relaxation massage, or deep tissue she has the tools ready to share with you. Techniques used include Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Oriental Theory, Reiki, Hot Stones, and Sports Massage to provide an Integrative Massage for each client's personal needs and treatment goals.
Teena Canfield, LMT is a 2015 graduate of the River Valley Community College program in Massage Therapy. It was there that she discovered her passion for helping people achieve wellness through therapeutic touch. Teena believes in the benefits of massage as a healing and therapeutic medium. Using a combination of techniques that include; Deep tissue, Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, Swedish, and Hot Stone. Her goal is to help alleviate stress on the body giving the client more mobility, function, and energy in everyday life. As a recent new mother Teena also recognizes the benefits of pre/postnatal wellness. Prenatal massage is one of her favorite modalities and she enjoys helping mothers during this time.
