Ashtanga Yoga: (Primary Series) taught in
the traditional method, emphasizing breath, vinyasa and
asana. Hot
Yoga: (all levels) a Kripalu style version of "hot
yoga" based on Bikram's 26 posture sequence. Yes, the heat
will be turned up to allow the muscles to stretch easily.

Kripalu Yoga:
(all levels) the basics of yoga which includes asanas
(postures), pranayama (breath), dhyana (meditation) and
deep relaxation, offered with grace and ease.
Pranayama and
Meditation: Simple, easy to follow breathing
exercises to rejuvenate the body and calm the mind,
followed by silent meditation.
Qi Gong:
translates as "energy work". A gentle, but powerful energy
healing system, connecting mind, body and spirit. Used
throughout China for preventing disease and prolonging
life. Great for seniors too!
Sivananda Yoga:
(Beginner) This class will introduce yoga postures in a
classical Indian sequence. Step-by-step instruction will
be given with emphasis on proper breathing and relaxation
in order to deepen the experience of the postures.
Sivananda Yoga:
(Intermediate) Focus on breath awareness, relaxation and
ease in the posture. This class will retain these
traditional emphases while incorporating elements from
Meenakshi's study in Ashtanga and lyengar styles.
Tai Chi Chuan:
An internal martial art often referred to as "meditation
in motion". Fluid movements done with awareness of posture
and breath, help develop focus and concentration, balance,
strength, flexibility and lead to the reduction of stress.
Teen Yoga: A
special class for teens, incorporating basic yoga
postures, connecting movement and breath, with an added
focus on guided meditation.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga:
(all levels) for the student who has a basic understanding
of yoga and at least 6 months of practice. This class is
an experience of movement and breath with the focus on
asanas, ujayi pranayama, dristi (placement of the eyes),
and bhandas (gathering of energy), meditation and deep
relaxation.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga:
(Intermediate) for the more experienced practitioner. A
vigorous practice to heat, cleanse and relax the body and
mind. |
